First Friday Rochester Design Center Event

The First Friday in March is just around the corner which means it’s time for our First Friday Rochester Design Center Event. We’ve got two great artists to showcase, not to mention all of the fabulous furniture, fixtures and finds that you’ll see in our store when you come. Bring a friend. Everyone should have the opportunity to embrace their space!
Philip Anthony Lange
Rochester Design Center is pleased to present photographer Philip Lange. Lange captures gorgeous “seescapes” or images from landscapes. (Check out his website) The majority of his photographs are from his travels, with subjects ranging from people and places to benches and clotheslines. Lange completed his MFA in photography in 1983 and has taught art in Rochester Schools for 30 years. Lange’s work has been shown in galleries including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Contemporary Museum of Art in Chicago, and the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester. This month’s First Friday Rochester Design Center event is also featuring art work by Rochester Design Center’s own Tori Pierleoni. Tori is a design consultant for Rochester Design Center with a passion to help people create their perfect space. She studied painting and drawing at Pratt Institute at Munson Williams Proctor. While many of her pieces consist of flowers/still life; she enjoys experimenting with different styles and subjects.
Here’s the awesome news, some of the pieces on display for our First Friday Rochester Design Center event will be available for purchase! In fact, there are many great pieces available for purchase in our store. A well-placed accent or photograph in just the right space can have a fabulous effect. Not sure where anything should go?
